Some people never go
out their front doors, but some of us have adventure written in our blood.
Hesitant or not we are destined to open the front door and walk down the garden
path into the larger world beyond.
Like Bilbo and Frodo
there is a time of hesitancy at the beginning, of a slow willingness to leave
the comfortable place of security in our own Shire, but in the end the open
doors beckons, we pack our knapsacks, pick up our walking sticks, and walk out the
door. In stepping down the path there is an eagerness, a building exhilaration,
as we run with Frodo down the lane past the Great Mill and over the Water.
